I just received a critical BIOS update notification for my XPS system via support centre.
When I tried to do the update it downloads A09.exe from Dells FTP. When I attempt to install it does the update and changes from the current version (A06) to the new version (A09). Then gives the the option to Update or Quit.
It's the warning message that bothers me. "Warning : Please exits all other applications before updating BIOS!". The plural on "exits" and the exclamation mark at the end doesn't look right. Is it safe to go ahead or have I been duped into downloading a Trojan or something?
I haven't clicked "Update" yet. I've opted for "Quit", although I suspect that on the next reboot the update will occur automatically.
Please advise. Is it safe to reboot?
