My Alienware PC is running Windows 7. I've had AlienRespawn set up to run full incremental backups to an external USB hard drive. This has been going on well for a few years (and have done some consolidations of the incremental backups into a larger singular incremental backup.
Last week, my PC got hit with a virus that wiped out several applications. I was able to use the recovery DVD and select the full system (complete) backup from 12/27/2011 to restore my PC. After that is completed, I go to launch AlienRespawn, and it won't allow me to select the incremental system recovery backups that have been done since the full complete backup. The program won't display the USB hard drive when trying to browse for additional backups to restore.
If I try to use the recovery DVD and choose one of the incremental backups to restore, it will be incomplete and the hard drive won't boot into Windows 7.
So once I've restored from the complete full backup, how can I recover the incremental backups when the software won't recognize them existing?
