XPS 15 L502X Overheating with Counter-Strike GO

Hi Community.

This is my first post here and I'm pretty unsure if I'm doing everything correct.

Some days ago I bought the new Counter-Strike Global Offensive and did really want to play it straight away. On my computer I got the programme Core Temp installed with Overheat Protection enabled, which puts the computer to Sleep when the core temperature gets closer than 5 °C to TjMax.

Sad enough, my computer will always be put to sleep when I play CS GO. Same happens by the way when I play F.E.A.R. 2. I hadn't played that game for quite a time. Don't know for sure if the issues there are new. Anyway, I can't remember ever having had such problems with F.E.A.R. 2 before.

With CS GO the problem occurs also under lowest graphics settings, haven't tested F.E.A.R. 2  under lowest so far.

My system:

Windows 7 Professional 64bit

i5-2410M

Geforce GT 540M 2GB

4 GB RAM

My boot partition is encrypted with TrueCrypt  Serpent-AES which I hope doesn't have anything to do with the problem. I used to have my games partition encrypted as well, but decrypted it when i noticed the overheating issues as I thought this might put more load on the CPU on-the-fly-decrypting the files needed for playing.

Hope you guys got some ideas for me as I don't really see why the game is not working on my laptop.

Greatings

Kenobi
