Dell Inspiron N5110 / WD3200BEKT Compatibility Question

Got a 2000-0142 hard drive error code and with the Dell Inspiron N5110 now out of warranty, would it be compatible with the following hard drive: Western Digital Scorpio Black WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive, N82E16822136280? 

What are the key things to look for when determining if a hard drive is compatible?
