Originally I’ve purchased XPS13 which started braking down on me 2nd month after
purchase. I can’t count the number of times the machine stopped working
on me, I think every part of it was replaced multiple times. We are
talking hours and hours spent talking to reps and many technician home
visits and having the machine shipped back to Dell to be fixed, only to
receive it back with the same issues, which was followed by more
technician visits!

lots of aggravation for a system that was supposed to be top of the
line when purchased, I paid nearly $2,000 for it! Actually, with the
warranty I thankfully purchased, this was way over $2k machine.
Recently, the system broke down completely, but since I had that
warranty Dell decided to give me a replacement which is this XPS 14z!

Don’t
understand why I am getting a different series as the replacement. I
mean this machine costs about a half of the price of my initial system. I
chose XPS 13 because I was attracted by its features which includes its
sleek design. I paid for the performance AND the design when I decided
to go with XPS13. This XPS 14z is clunky and far from being sleek! That
cover hinge is just horrible, not to mention those speaker grills…

to reps today (so more hours spent on the phone) and did not get a
straight answer as to why my XPS 13 has been “replaced” by something
other than XPS 13 series laptop! I was told to use this forum for help. Thanks in advance.
