I have a significant issue with the Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 in my 15R SE and I am looking for troubleshooting help. The problem I have is related to the power management of the card. Essentially, whenever the power state on the laptop changes I lose my wireless connection and in order to restore it I either have to go into Device Manager and disable/enable the Wifi card again or I need to reboot. Any power change to the card requires this such as sleeping/hibernation. Here is what I have done so far.
Updated to the latest driver 9/30/12 directly from the Intel website.
Unticked the box that "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
Used a USB Wireless adapter (Alfa) which works without any problem.
Boot under Linux which also works without any problem.
So this seems to be some type of driver issue. But it's driving me batty (no pun intended) because essentially I can't use any of the power saving features when running on battery power.
