I have had a Dell 3008WFP monitor for several years. Originally I was on Windows XP x64 and it worked fine. I got the full 2560x1600 resolution.
My motherboard got flaky so I upgraded to a new motherboard and graphics card (Radeon 7970), and to Windows 7. I am using the DVI-D cable that the monitor came with (and which used to give me the full resolution).
Now Windows 7 insists that the maximum resolution is 1920x1080 with a recommended resolution of 1680 x 1050. So I'm stuck with a low resolution monitor. BTW, Windows identifies the monitor as Dell 3008WFP(DP).
Does anybody know how to fix this? I couldn't find any new usable drivers for the Dell3008WFP.
