After enormous effort I finally got my brand new U2412M to work with my Lenovo ThinkPad Windows XP SP3.
a) I want it to display at 19200x1200, but it only works at 1920x1080. My Intel Mobile 965 Chipset graphics card offers 1920x1200. Circular image items are ovoid--too tall. This renders the monitor useless to me as I use it for photographic editing for my work. The OSD controls have a grayed-out selection for Auto Adjust, meaning I cannot use it. What is up with that? Is this monitor's aspect ratio not fine tunable? I need to scrunch the display area vertically very slightly. My previous Dell LCD monitor could do it, but its On/Off button broke.
b) Any image-specific item on the screen, for example: text, icons, darker areas on photos, is closely surrounded by snow-like flicker. (Broad uniform areas do not have this problem.) What is up with that?
Are there fixes for both a) and b)? If not, the monitor goes back, which means a lot of time down the drain. Thank you if you can help.
