I have a Inspiron 15R. It has a 1 TB HDD and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I have already created the System recover discs (3 DVD) using Dell DataSafe Local Backup 2.0.
I intend to repartition my HDD into 4 equal partitions and then restore the OS, etc.
I have made an attempt, by trying to use the option of restoring from restore discs. However, I couldn't find the option where I could create my desired partitions. It eventually reformatted the existing partition and restored. So, I have what I started with. 
Can someone help me with a link / detailed steps on how to go about?
The end state should be -
1. I have 4 partitions in addition to the restore partition (assuming its a separate partition)
2. OS and Dell applications and drivers are installed as per factory settings
