Hi guys. I'm trying to get my first SAN working with RHEL. The server is on my network on a standard IP. I was able to set a group IP on my SAN on a made-up 192.168.0.x network, and I have the SAN directly connected to a 4 port NIC in the server with Cat6 ethernet cables, all of which have a 192.168.0.x IP as well.
From the server, when I go to do a ping to the group IP, the responses I get are
From IP.Of.First.PortOnNIC icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
Linux networking is definitely not my strong suit, am I just missing a config somewhere that will tell it to talk to the SAN or something? Or to push all 192.168.0.x traffic out those 4 ports on that one NIC?
I've seen this config work with non-Dell SANs, so i'm assuming i'm just missing something :(
