We had a 10 minute power outage in our neighborhood and when power was restored, my 1520 laptop was DEAD. It will not boot up and none of the blue status LEDS are lit.
At the time of the outage, the AC adapter was plugged into a surge protector, which seems to be working properly.
When the AC adapter is plugged in, the green LED comes on, but goes out as soon as it's plugged into the laptop. It's the same scenario with the battery removed.
I read in this forum that this indicates a dead MB . . . but I don't want to replace the MB until I'm sure that's the problem.
Are there any other tests to make sure it's a faulty MB?
