Have an Inspiron one 2320 all-in-one touchscreen. The problem is kinda unique. I can restart the computer fine by going to start menu and selecting RESTART and it loads windows fine, but when I go to the start menu and select SHUTDOWN and when it finishes the whole shutdown process. I press the power button it will show multiple horizontal lines of multiple colored lines and will not show the DELL splash screen with the F2 OR F12 but the sound can be heard. I have to power it down holding the power button down. Then with 2,3,4 or 5 tries powering it on and off it will boot normally. I tried an external monitor when that problem occurs and on the external screen it looks fine.
I have tried updating the BIOS to current A10. Tried Updating the video card driver to current. then rolling back driver just in case the Windows update driver could be corrupted. Tried deleting the driver then reinstalling it. Ended up Factory recovering it with DELL DATA SAFE RECOVERY PARTITION. Still the problem persists.
Is there a software fix for this that anyone has come up on? I am thinking just the LCD or motherboard is defective since it appears fine on an external monitor.
Thanks for anyones help.
