hi, my daughter has killed her dell vostro.
she unistalled windows. now i have the disc so i reinstalled it but....things are not right. there are drivers missing. one of which being the base system device driver. i have scoured the laptop for it but it is not there, not anywhere.
i cant find where to download it either. i have been on the dell website, i have downloaded all the drivers it says i need. they then save to documents. when i click them to open them, i unzip them etc but then the little black window will open and tell me that they are not compatible!
im totally lost here. i have downloaded something because i have a list in the documents of all different dell things. the first one being set up. now the problem i have is that set up tell sme to insert the resourceCD. all well and good but which one is it? i have one that says disk 1, one that says disk 2 and one that doesnt say anything!
disk 1 says drivers and utilities already installed on your computer then p/n hw441 rev.a07 sept. 2009 contents:device drivers,:diagnostics and utilities.
then disk 2 says..drivers and utilities already installed on your computer then p/n ck03r rev.a01 sept 2009 contents:device drivers,:diagnostics and utilities
then the third disk says drivers and utilities already installed on your computer p/n 49fkr rev.a01 oct 2009, contents:device drivers.:diagnostics and utilities
they all say for reinstalling dell vostro laptop computer software.
so when the laptop is asking for the rescourceCd which one is it???? im so confused, i have been at this for 6 hours now and im close to tears.
HELP PLEASE!!!!!
