Its been awhile since I worked on Servers and my husband bought a poweredge 1800 seial # [ADMIN NOTE: Service Tag removed per privacy policy] and it was loaded with server 2008 and it wasn't licensed. I screwed up the raid and lost the operating system. Now I am trying to reload the machine with sever 2003. I downloaded the SBUU and SUU from link above and made a cd. When it gets to f1 or f2 to return when I hit F1 it read the Cd and I select dell system build and update and it goes to blank screen nothing more. When I unplug the harddrives(2) from the Cerc-Sata-6CH Controller and plug one of the harddrives into the sata port it goes furture "booting from optical media..." but then it says it need more than 512mb to run application - which it has more than 512.
I would just like to load server 2003 R2 which I have a license for on the raid.
