Hi all,
Dell recently came and replaced my motherboard, which fixed a problem I was having with my GPU / CPU not clocking up properly. However, now my machine is randomly turning itself off and on, and bootlooping even before it makes it through POST. Sometimes, however, it'll remain on for 30 minutes - 2 hours or so.
I've noticed that the power events log in the bios seems to suggest that the power button is being pressed (when it definitively isn't). I show "Power Off - 4 second power button shutdown" in the power event log, as well as "Power Off - WDT."
I'm guessing the tech screwed something up when he was here replacing the motherboard.
Anyone have any experience with this and a solution I could try? I've already confirmed it is not software related (I yanked the harddrive and put a known good configuration/drive in, to no avail). I've also swapped out batteries and the power supply. It happens both on battery and A/C.
Appreciate it!
