I have an Inspiron 14, about 2.5 years old. My computer has had a few quirks over the years, but it's developed a new one recently. The battery indicator light normally shows a solid white light for charging, no light for fully charged/unplugged, and a solid red light for a dying/dead battery. Recently, the light will quickly flash red several times followed by a quick flash of light. Meanwhile, my battery does not charge and it continues to run down the battery even while plugged in. It seems like if I shut down the computer, pull out the battery, and put it back in, everything goes back to normal (at least for awhile). I don't know if it's a problem with my battery, my computer, or my charger. Everything came back normal with my PC check-up. I've also done multiple scans with Ad-aware and AVG. My best guess is its a connectivity issue between the battery and computer??? I would appreciate any thoughts or feedback!
