For information really...
I have a Vostro 3750 and have set W7's power plans to (supposedly) run on reduced wireless power on battery. Whenever I have opened the Intel ProSet/wireless tools from control panel and looled at the wireless stats I see that power is always showing "Maximimum ~32milliwatts". I found an Intel article showing how to alter the wireless power via device manager > network adapters > intel wireless > advanced settings. This seems to work and I'm currently on "medium low" and this shows as 2 milliwatts. Seemingly no issues at this low power. I'm also pleased to see that a broadband speedtest check actually shows that the lower power is giving slightly higher speeds. I can't explain that and statistically I haven't done enough tests but for the first time ever I amover 17.4mbs rather than the normal 14 to 16 mbs. Can't explain that.
Wireless settings screen,
Here's the Intel link,

Anyhow the point of posting all this is that the Intel wireless card seems not to be under W7's power plan settings.
