So here's the deal, around April-May 2012 I purchased my Dell Inspiron N7110r. I had read plenty of warnings online in different forums and on the Dell website, but decided to give Dell the benefit of the doubt and purchase the laptop anyway. BIG mistake on my part. 2 hard drive replacements, and an lcd screen replacement later, I'm waiting for a service tech to come replace the blasted hard drive a THIRD TIME! Yet while on the phone with Dell, I asked to speak to the supervisor on duty to make sure that if the hard drive failed, YET AGAIN that they would replace it as this has become an ongoing issue. Ironically, according the to the supervisor, this is NOT an ongoing issue, IF my warranty runs out they'll replace it ONE more time, and then it's up to me. Such <Admin Note:profanity removed per TOU policy~RK>! I've been a loyal customer to this company for ages, and this is how I get treated?! BIG mistake Dell. Does Dell not recall that a business thrives or fails most often by word of mouth? All I wanted was the issue resolved, and a guarantee that Dell wouldn't leave me with my pants down if it continued to happen, not happening. Ironically I know many of you are going to go on about how I should purchase an extended warranty, or just get over it, or perhaps just move on to another manufacturer.. Yeah I get that, and understand that. However, I did purchase the Complete Care extended warranty, and I'm covered for another couple of months with that. Though, at this point, it's not a matter of simply 'purchasing' yet another service, or system from Dell, it's the principle of the matter! NO ONE that I know, and in my experience goes through 2 hard drives, and an lcd screen in a matter of a few months. If they did, MOST companies would back up their product no matter what, even if it were to just save face and keep their stock holders happy. If this is what Dell has resorted to, they'll be washed up in no time, especially when trying to stand up to companies like Sony, and Toshiba. Those two companies have some of the best systems out there, in my opinion. While I'd gladly purchase one of their systems, for what I need them for, it's a bit too steep for my wallet at the moment. So, perhaps an HP laptop, or...? If anyone has any ideas on a decent system for a fair price I'm open to suggestions!

As for a Dell, I'm done with this company.
