I have a Dell Studio 1555. The LCD screen of the laptop stopped functioning.
The LCD screen would go white from time to time (as if some connections were loose) so I decided to have a look. I looked at the connections and everything seemed fine.I also noticed that the panel behind the D669J LCD got really really hot...(so much so there came a dark spot on the lcd screen near that region) I took out the display connector from the motherboard and then plugged it back in only to get a non-working screen.
Initially I could see stuff but everything was so dim that it was hardly visible. Now I have tried from all angles but now I cant even see that anymore.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me whats wrong? Some people advised me to change the inverter but I dont see an inverter installed on my PC. The Panel behind the LCD seems to get really hot. I want to know if that can be replaced?
Please respond with advice on how to fix it. Thanks
