Looks like DELL does not ship with up-to-date software including latest version(s), release(s), and upgrades of the operating system, drivers, and third party software. As soon as the the system is hooked up with internet, the system begins downloading upgrades they are really countless. I have noticed the upgrades (downloaded) are as old as several months, while DELL is responsible to configure and setup all components with the latest specifications of the software and hardware.
A computer picked-up from store could have old specifications of operating systems and installed software BUT the the computer prepared and shipped from manufacturing and configuration location(s) should not have outdated specifications.
The recovery media would contain old services packs or specs, in case of recovery, the system again redo all upgrades. It should be extra burden on customer while computer down time is significant for computer users.
Does DELL follow QA guidelines with respect to outdated software installation?
Does DELL ship computer with pre-installed software, and do not validate whats new before the date of shipment?
Does DELL no more focus on Quality product and service?
Did DELL outsource all their support to overseas and that causing quality decline?
Does DELL charges 14% on price if customer is unsatisfied with performance of the systems shipped to the customer?
Does DELL follow 15 days return policy, if customer is unsatisfied with the computer shipped to the customer?
Does 14% applies on brand new system replacement, if customer considers to different specifications and model based on poor performance of the shipped system?
I am (USA-Customer) hoping someone would clarify on theses concerns.
