It came pre-installed with Windows 8, even though I was under the impression it was being shipped with Windows 7 from Dell themselves.
I've given Windows 8 a shot and just don't find it productive or intuitive...and I would like to do what I do with any new computer, a FRESH INSTALL of an OS...
In this case I would like to put on my purchased copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, but all this UEFI/Secure Boot stuff seems to be complicating the matter...especially since I can't access the BIOS without going through Windows 8 (F2/F12 are useless)...and it's locked down anyway.
I've read people attempt to install Win 7 on this machine, has anyone succeeded?? I've asked this once before but MAYBE this time someone from Dell can respond to my questions, as I would like to be free to put whatever OS I want on this computer...I did not buy it as a "Windows 8 Machine", I bought it as a laptop to freely choose whatever I want with it.
Any other members that can help in assisting me formatting this thing and getting Windows 7 on it, which it seems to have been designed for and rushed out for the Xmas season with Win8, as others have pointed out...please chime in if you can help!
Since I can't seem to make Recovery Discs using Dell's own tool, despite trying everything I've read on this thread, I'd rather not get too far into attempting this unless it is going to work!
