Dell latitude hard disk upgrade

Hi

I recently upgraded my Dell latitude e6410 hard disk to 1 TB and the added 4 G RAM (total now 6 GB)

However I cannot installed either Windows (Win7 installation freezes) or Linux (opensuse 12.1 restarts by itself)
