I ordered a Dell U2410 monitor (not a complicated order - should be on the shelf right)?. I also paid $15.00 for the 2 business day shipping method.
When I received my confirmation it said delivery 4/15 (that's 7 days). Went around and around with several folks from India and even read them Dell's Shipping Methods paragraph on the Dell website which states:
Dell partners with industry leading carriers for each shipping delivery option, and we will use the most appropriate carrier to deliver your order. When you select Next Business Day or Two (2) Business Day shipping, we may use air or ground shipping to deliver your order within the selected time frame.
I spent two maddening hours and got nowhere. Basically, I paid for two day delivery and they guarantee 7. No one else operates this way for a commodity like a monitor.
I cancelled the order and ordered through B&H. I'll get it in 6 days - free shipping, no hassles and a lower price. The same would be true for Amazon.
I am an Apple user so other than this very good monitor for Photo work I will NEVER have to deal with Dell again!
Dell, you should be ashamed of yourselves for such a scam, especially for a monitor that should be sitting on a shelf! And the $15.00 means nothing - it's the principal!!!
Goodbye Dell.
