Graphics display on dell 17r laptop

Hi i am new to this forum and not that experienced in computers but i had to format my laptop and now the graphics are fuzzy the graphics resolution says 1094x768 when it should be near 1600x900 how do i install the proper drivers back onto the computer if windows 7 did not install the proper drivers for me?
