Purchased this computer in March 2012. Limited use by very careful owner. Problem with left hinge was very slight. Last night, without warning or without having been dropped or damaged, when trying to close laptop, screen on left side popped off the hinge. Then today noticed a fine crack in the screen near bottom left surrounded by very large black blotch the shape of a leaf. Over the phone Dell customer service rep basically accused me of lying when I told him that this happened despite the fact that the computer had never been dropped or abused. Rep also said that if there were a problem the computer would have been recalled. It doesn't seem like a coincidence that we are having the exact same problem as two others who commented within the past few weeks. We have had many Dell products over the years but are extremely disappointed with this one and with the response we have received from customer service so far. This was not a case of accidental damage, but of a computer that was very poorly constructed. Will Dell do the right thing by standing behind its product instead of giving us the runaround and calling us liars? PLEASE HELP!
