I just started up my new XPS One which came with the 32 GB SSD for caching. Didn't see it in Explorer, so I had a look at it in Disk Manager and found that it was un-allocated and not initialized. It asked to be initialized, so I initialized it as MBR.
Now I'm not sure if I should have done that. Also, I'm not sure if I should create a New Simple Volume or what.
I guess I expected the SSD to be set up for disk caching, as that's how it was sold. But then it didn't seem to be set up--uninitialized and unallocated sounds like "not doing anything" to me. Obviously, I'm new to the SSD thing. Can anyone advise me as to how to proceed from here?
This is a repost of the question which I'm afraid no one will look at because it already has a number of responses. Unfortunately, the responses were from someone who did not read my post and assumed I was trying to install an SSD. An answer is selected there, but I did not select it (if I did, it was an inadvertent click) and it will not process my click to Reject Answer.
