I have a Latitude E5420 laptop using an HDMI cable to an ST2420L monitor. Great picture. Just put on the recommended AX510PA soundbar, and tried to connect the audio mini-plug to the "audio out" on the monitor. Power to the soundbar is on, but no sound comes out. Plugged the soundbar into the laptop headphone jack, and it works just fine. The HDMI cable is supposed to carry both audio and video to the monitor, so I assume (and the instructions say so) connecting the soundbar to the audio out is all I need to do. Soundbar works, but not when it's connected to the monitor's audio out. Am I missing something?? Thanks!
