u2312HM Already Broken On Me! =(

So it was a sad day when I came home today to a broken monitor. I turned it on and the the screen faded in and out and now there's horizontal lines fading in and out and occasionally get a menu, but it's so laggy and fading in and out.. I tried new cables, I tried different monitors (and they worked), different computer, any combination possible. And of course I threw out my paperwork cause I've never had an issue with Dell before and now I guess I'm SOL after spending  $285 on a monitor?  Dell service makes me even more sad. Thoughts on what to do?
