XPS 2710 Nightmare (this one is the mother of all...)

Problem/Request Details/Additional Information So far you have replaced the screen twice, the mother board and graphics card, the Wi-Fi antennas, reimaged 2 times. I have spent 30+ houra with remote support. I have had 2 home visits. One of your managers even made a promise that they would replace the pc if the last repairs did not work. (They didn't). I have been nothing but patient. This is the most expensive pc I have ever bought l. When will you stop and give up. It's been so long since I have had a working pc that I have gotten used to life without it. I have zero confidence Dell can fix this or anything else. "Dell equals zero"

Dell 15 XPS 9550 won't POST
I have a Dell 15 XPS 9550 with suspected liquid damage. When turning on it illuminates the Power button LED for 20 seconds and then goes off and the front two LEDs both flash white once. Then nothing.
The screen never comes on. The fans never spin up. There are no beeps.
I have removed the battery and the CMOS battery. I've stripped it right down cleaned it with Isopropyl Alcohol and put it back together - same result. Makes no difference if battery is connected or not.
I've tried the memory in both slots.
Any ideas?

hi there, I'm having trouble with my laptop - when I turn it on it's only shades of white and gray lines. Dell told me it is the led screen that need to be replaced for alot of money. Can I buy a screen and replace it myself? I found an inexpensive one.

Dell S2417DG no video on DisplayPort
Purchased two Dell S2417DGs earlier this month (ordered from amazon 8th-9th sept, arrived 10th sept). A few days ago one of them didn't display the computer (it powered up - had it's white LED, and could view the menu).
I unplugged and replugged the displayport (at both computer and monitor end), and made sure both were firmly in. Windows came up with it's 'Gsync Monitor connected' message, but still no change. I restarted the computer and repeated, to get the same result.
Nvidia Control Pannel only shows one of the two monitors. When I unplug/replug, it flashes/updates a few times, but nohting changes. Windows Display settings shows both monitors with Monitor 1 (the one that doesn't work, and my main monitor) now on the far right, much smaller and now greyed out (and am unable to do anything with it - even selecting options 'duplicate x monitor' doesn't do anything).
The USB passthrough on the monitor still functions, and I can get a display with HDMI. I purchased this mostly for gaming, and with HDMI being capped at 60hz refresh, I would like to use the DisplayPort.
I was hoping I could get some assistance; to see if there's anything else I could try that might confirm if the port is dead or not (I'd rather not send it to be replaced/repaired/whatever if I could avoid it). Any help would be much appreciated! - MP

racadm remote image from share that doesn't have a username or password
Hello,
I am trying to upload an iso image from an NFS location that does not need a username and password. I am able to upload it via Virtual Console GUI but not with racadm.
By providing a dummy username and password racadm does say that 'Remote Image is now Configured' but it is not.
Is there some other way out ?
Need help. I have tens of servers to build this way.
Command used:
racadm -r $ip -u $user -p $password remoteimage -c -l "//$path" -u $dummy_user -p $dummy_password

P2715Q monitor USB fed from a Lindy 2 port switch
To begin with I plugged the monitor USB upstream connector into my PC's USB3.0 port using the supplied USB3 lead, and then plugged the keyboard and mouse into the USB ports on the monitor. This worked well and I didn't need to feed the mouse and keyboard cables to the PC under the desk.
All worked
I then have got a Lindy 2 port USB3.0 switch and a couple more USB leads. When I plugged the Lindy into the cable from the PC and a new cable into the monitor USB upstream, I expected the keyboard and mouse to still work but they do not.
Device manager shows the presence of the USB3 hub in the monitor, but not the peripheral devices (keyboard and mouse).
I am not sure why this is not compatible. I want the switch so I can easily plug in a laptop and use the keyboard/mouse with it.
The Lindy switch seems to work not in conjunction with the Dell monitor - I ran a portable USB 3 hard disk through it OK.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

Dell 55xx will not connect via SPF+ ports.
I am trying to connect a Dell 5524 with a Dell 5548 over a 350 foot fiber connection. I am using a pair Dell Networking, Transceiver, 10GbE SFP+ LRM Optic, 1310nm Wavelength, 220m reach on MMF - Kit's and the Fiber run has been certified. Yes, both ports show that they are down in OpenManage. I have attempted some command lines I found searching online:
interface te1/0/1
channel-group 1 mode on
switchport mode general
I did this on both switches, received no errors, but still the ports did not light.
What am I doing wrong? More importantly, why is there ZERO documentation on this!?

Dell Desktop won't turn on
We have a Dell Dimension 4550 and we had a power failure a few days ago. Since then the computer will not turn on. There are no status lights on and nothing happens when I push the power button.

Will server 2008 drivers work on 2012?
I have a PowerEdge T320. I want to upgrade the SAS RAID driver for PERC H710, but the only one for Windows is for server 2008R2. I'm running server 2012R2. Will this be compatible?

DELL Monitor doesn't display POST ON STARTUP
I have been having this problem on and off for a few months until I finally decided to leave the computer on 24/7. I have been able to get a screen if I count to 10 after turning on the PC. If the DELL logo appears I quickly press F2 and goninto repair and recovery which will eventually fix it and it will run. If not, I just keep trying the monitor power plug until the DELL LOGO DISPLAYS. Currently, I have not counted accurately enough so just wait until I hear the Windows OS start up; then I can actually log in by just typing in my password as the cursor begins in the login field... then I hear my home screen beep signal so I know it's working. I just can't guess at when to plug in the power cord to get the DELL logo to start the recovery...
How can I get the monitor to display without all of this!?!?

OptiPlex 990 USFF Line-in/Microphone Combo Jack
Can anyone provide an explanation of how the Line-in/Microphone Combo Jack on the rear panel of the OptiPlex 990 USFF (actually the same on all 990 models) is configured?

Is the jack stereo or mono?

Dual Dell 2007FP + 3007FP monitors result in 2007FP in permanent 'sleep mode'
Hi,
System:
Windows 10 64 bit
16 gb ram
AMD Ryzen 5 1500x quad core processor
dual Radeon RX 460 graphics cards
3 monitors (two HDMI, one DVI cable hookup)
* Two DELL 2007 FP 20' (MX-OC9536-46634-6BB-41AS)
* One DELL 3007 WFP 30'
Issue:
Since updating my Radeon RX 460 driver I cannot run all 3 monitors w/out one of them going into 'sleep mode' at startup and staying there permanently. It seems that I can only get two monitors to work on one of my video cards - I can switch the cables around to different monitors, two will always work on one of the video cards and one will be in sleep mode. When updating the graphics card drivers, all three monitors will actually be on temporarily during the update, but once the update is finished I once again have a monitor in sleep mode.
I have updated my BIOS as well. I have scoured the internet looking for a solution to this problem. I have also tried two DVI cables and one HDMI cable, as opposed to two HDMI cables and one DVI. Both combinations result in one monitor staying in sleep mode.
The 2007FP monitors were purchased directly from DELL back in 2006 - is it possible that these monitors are outdated for modern video cards? Any help on this issue is very much appreciated. I find this issue quite puzzling and have never seen this before when using these monitors. Please let me know if there is any additional information that would be helpful in troubleshooting this problem.

Dell N7010 laptop video problem
I have posted about this problem in the past and have not got an answer, so I would like to try again.
The video setting, at most times, constantly changes from single monitor to dual monitor, along with the attendant blank screen and "boink" sound. This happens with no input from me.
I can look at the screen resolution in control panel as this happens and see the change back and forth.
I have corresponded with Intel about this since the video driver is theirs, but they have been no help either.
The computer is a Dell Inspiron N7010 and the op sys is Windows7 64 bit.
I have screen shots of the two different settings, but I don't see how to attach two files to this post If you can tell me how to do that I would appreciate it. . I have attached one of them.

Dell XPS 15 9560 rare light pattern error
During the last week I've been having a strange problem with my XPS 15. At first, it occurred every 5 or 6 boots, but know it happens every time I turn it on.
What happens is that when I boot it, the white light indicator in the start button stays on for around 10 seconds and then turns off, followed by a rare light pattern error which displays 3 times amber, 5 times white, 3 times amber, 3 times white. At least, after it does this, I push the button again and it boots perfectly fine.
Although it's true that this problem isn't fatal, luckily for now, I'm worried that it could get worse. I´ve already had a problem with a failed RAM that's already been replaced by Dell. However, this time the light pattern error code isn't showed in the diagnostics section in XPS 15 service manual (page 114). There's no 3 amber, 5 white error, but there's a 3 amber, 3 white one that says "Recovery image not found".
