On the bottom left side of the screen there are two small pixels glow more than the others, is that normal?
Usually these two pixels appear clearly when you look from the left side on white backgrounds.

Can't Use Waves Audio or Realtek Driver With Inspiron 7579 and AC511 Soundbar
I just got an Inspiron 7579 and hooked it up to my existing monitor, which has a Dell AC511 Soundbar on it I can get sound out of the soundbar, but only using a generic Windows USB Driver. When I try to use the Waves Audio that was installed on the computer, I get a message that the device (soundbar) is not supported and I've tried to change the audio driver for the soundbar to the Realtek driver as it may be connected to the Waves software, and in the worst case I could use the Realtek EQ to make the soundbar sound a little better. Looking at the sound settings and Device Manager, I can't see a place to change the soundbar's driver.
If anyone has a fix for this, I'm game to give it a try. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

T20 Booting to Windows logo screen that says Preparing Automatic Repair even with no drives connected?
How is this possible. I had windows 10 running on the server (it's just for home media). I want to add new drives so i took a 500gb 2.5" drive and put it where the cdrom was, unplugged all other drives and was preparing to reinstall windows to this new smaller drive (as my windows/c drive) and i can not get it to boot to a USB stick (which was how i installed it easily when i first got the computer).
It boots immediately to a black screen with a blue windows logo (like the windows 10 installation) that says Preparing Automatic Repair...it then goes to a screen for Advanced Diagnostics or Reset this PC. None of these options work.
How is it booting to a windows screen with absolutely no connected drives (or USB or anything)? Is this part of Dell's BIOS?

How to re add the Energystar logo back into the system properties in windows 10?
I have an Inspiron all in one PC that is rated energystar, but after doing a clean install I can't figure out how to add back the energy star logo in the system properties along with the dell oem logo.
Does anyone know how I can re add the energystar logo back into system properties? I have the energystar logo with me as a bmp (bitmap) file format and just need to figure out how to put it back on.
(The energystar logo was under the dell oem logo and I want to put it back in the same place as it originally way.)

My Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series is acting up!
Whenever I wear earbuds and play audio from whatever, there is a very LOUD popping sound that occurs. Is there anything I can do to fix it.

Have to click in order to get back to the active window
Hi everybody J
I’m basically forced to click after several seconds in order to continue actively in the window that I was in. Let’s say for example, right now I’m writing in this forum, and after a few seconds is like I’m automatically out of the window and I can’t write on it. I can obviously if I click on it, but then again it happens every 30 seconds or so and it’s quite annoying.

Alienware 17 R2 - 2nd hard drive missing
just about 20 minutes ago, my 2nd hard drive generated some kind of windows error. It went by before i could screen grab it. Now I don't have access to the hard drive.
My boot SSD main drive is working fine, and i've rebooted my laptop twice. The boot sequence is taking about 5 minutes now. before it would boot in about 15 seconds.

XPS 13 Image retention
I noticed today that the taskbar of my window appeared to be burned into the screen and was visible when I hit Ctrl Alt Del. Some people have called this issue ghosting, burn in, image retention or image persistence. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, but if you simply hit Ctrl Alt Del and look to the bottom of your screen you might faintly see the windows taskbar still there. Is this normal for the Dell XPS 13? (9360) I have the touchscreen version.
Edit: The issue lasts for more than 10 minutes even with the laptop off.

AREA 51 1080 sli Bridge question
So I have been reading through forums and see that there may be a flexible bridge given to me on my area 51 I ordered which is going to arrive next tues roughly.
What is worrying me and the answer I cant seem to find is if Alienware is giving me a bridge that will bottle neck a very expensive build. From what I understand the older bridges run at 400....the new HB for 1080s runs at 650+ I dont mind not receiving a pretty nvidia hb rigid bridge...I will accept the flexible one as long as it isnt an older slower bridge bogging down performance I paid for.

What's the most memory i add in the 2 empty slots on xps 435mt?
My machine currently has Elpida EBJ10UE8BAFA-DJ-E 0 serial 2A01-0810 in 4 dimm slots at 1 gb each.
I don't want to remove those, just want to add as much extra as possible.
I've read posts about having multiples of 3s being optimum but why didn't this one originally come in 3s but as 4 one sticks?
If possibly, can you recommend the exact company and model # that actually worked in your machine. Max performance isn't necessary just max stability, least worry, no trial and error, you know.
The power supply is 360watt (or 300 both numbers are on the unit). Will that be able to handle extra memory? I've read where others put 24gb but they don't say whether psu is upgraded. i don't want to upgrade my psu.

Dell Inspiron 3847 Cycles Boot
Hello all!
New to the Dell Forums, I've always wanted to sign on and learn more about my devices through community discussion, but I never have. Now I have a more emergent reason to.
My Dell Inspiron 3847 Tower refuses to turn on. I was playing league of legends on my desktop. I received a blue crash screen and my computer turned off. I then proceeded to turn it back on, however the power light would go orange, then white, fans would turn on, then stop. Computer would completely shut off two seconds after turning it on and it cycles. I'll turn it on, it'll go orange, white, then off. It would cycle for hours if I let it.
My first instinct is a fried power supply, however I don't see how my power supply would go kaput in the middle of a gaming session.
I don't want to spend the $50 on purchasing the power supply if that's not the case. Anyone help me out as to what the issue is?

Inspiron 14 Won't Boot Up/ Start!
So I have a dell Inspiron 14 that won't boot up! Pretty much what happens is when I turn on the laptop, it shows the DELL logo, as usual. Then after a couple of seconds the logo disappears and the screen is gray, then after a couple more seconds the screen goes black. After 2 seconds then the logo appears again and the process is repeated. Please help, i'm trying everything!

S2417DG Displayport broken on wake
Hi there,
Problem with my new S2417DG, purchased from Amazon.
System is a custom rig running Windows 10 64-bit PC with a Gigabyte GTX 1080. I also tested it on my laptop, which also runs Windows 10 and has an older Nvidia card.
The monitor worked fine for a while on the day I set it up. Tested and confirmed it was working at 2560x1440, 144hz. G-Sync enabled. I left the screen on while playing a game (WoW) and went to do something else. When I came back, the screen was blank and would not turn on. My other monitor (Dell U2515H connected via mDP) was working fine.
After about an hour of searching and testing (and almost ordering a new DP cable), I turned on the Windows "High Performance" power setting and the monitor began working again. I assumed the problem was resolved. Except...
The same thing happened today. I left a game on (Dishonored 2), and when I came back and the monitor wouldn't work with DP. Only this time, the PC was already on "High Performance" (confirmed before and after) so I can't use that to fix it. I've tried:
-Updating and reinstalling drivers for Dell monitor and Nvidia card.
-Soft and hard restarts on the monitor.
-Restarts on my PC.
-Changes on monitor's settings, including turning "power saving" off and factory reset.
-Testing display settings in Windows 10. It does identify the S2417DG but it shows it as a small square. I tried every single setting under "multiple displays" and nothing will make it project onto the S2417DG.
-Testing display settings in Nvidia control panel. Under "set up multiple displays" it does show the S2417DG as a box, but the box is un-checkable.
-Testing the DP connection with my laptop. Same issue with Windows & Nvidia settings there. Appears as a small square to the OS. Nvidia box is un-checkable. Won't project onto the monitor.
-Double checking the Windows power settings in the control panel, including "advanced" settings to make sure there's nothing that could be turning the monitor off.
Lastly, I tested the HDMI port on the monitor. It actually works with my desktop, but obviously only at 60hz. DP will not work.
Any ideas? I feel like I've tried pretty much everything. My best guesses are that there's something wrong with the DP port or that something weird is still going on with the power settings, either in my OS or the monitor or both.

4210H Intel Turbo Boost Problem
Hi everyone,
I have Alienware 15 with İ5-4210H CPU. I realized my CPU stucks at 2.9Ghz frequency.. I uploade screen shot of it when it is on load with Prime95. Intel says 4210H has 2.9Ghz CPU base frequency and its up to max 3.5Ghz turbo frequency. So mine doesnt reach up to 3.5Ghz. It stucks at 2.9Ghz that is base frequency? So how should i fix this?

My laptop is making beeping noise
When I start my Inspiron N5040, it makes audible 3 beeps for 3 times then it goes away but I can hear
faint 5 beeping noises while computer is running at a regular interval. It beeps for 5 times then pauses for a few seconds then it continues on and on.
