I was able to create the recovery media onto my USB flash drive and I decided that I wanted to installed my SSD onto my Inspiron 17r special edition that I just purchased from Dell a week ago. The Inspiron that I purchase does have the intel smart technology with the 32gb SSD. I replace the HDD with the SSD and move the factory HDD into the secondary bracket on the motherboard. When I went into the boot setting I can not see an option to boot from the USB. The bios version that I have is the A11 which is the newest one. When I switch to legacy mode I detected the USB boot option but for some reason it did not detect anything from my USB. At first I figure maybe my USB had nothing on it but when I went into windows and open up the USB all the files from the recovery media was there. I have the new bios that have the UEFI boot setting but I just can not find the USB boot option. What am I doing wrong or is it something that I need to do so I can boot from my USB using UEFI. I try everything from turning on and off the secure mode with UEFI and nothing seems to work. Anybody with any answers please reply back.
