My Win 7 Ultimate 64 upgrade went fine and everything except one thing works perfectly.
XPS Thermal Monitor (latest posted to drivers and downloads site for XPS730X) does install but on first reboot (and all other reboots) it immediately pops up with a message "stopped working...do you want to try to fix it?". That doesn't work and neither does cpmpatibility checker with Vista and XP. My machine originally shipped with XPS Thermal Monitor (and not Nvidia/ESA). I bought it at the very end of the line just before they discontinued. I did not attempt the version that was on my original drivers cd yet.
I would be grateful if someone has suggestions on how to install because I really would rather just use it in default mode as I always have instead of find some other software/hardware controls.
Also, what are these fans actually doing now when no fan control has been installed? Where are they being governed from and are all internal fans realyy working with no software/hardware fan control currently installed?
Thx.
