I was in the middle of gaming when my screen went black. I checked the edges of the laptop at first to see if it was possible that anything in the back got bumped, but there are no ports or anything in the back of this model. So I powered it down and attempted a reboot, but with the same result. I removed the AC adapter, and removed the battery while the machine was off. After waiting a few moments I returned the battery and Ac and attempted to boot, but received the same result.
At this time I cannot try an external monitor because I dont have a VGA cable handy, and this laptop does not support DVI.
When I start the computer, nothing comes on the screen at all. I can tell that the monitor is receiving power because there is a glow to the monitor, but no text or graphics of any kind will display. There are no beeps upon boot up that would signify a board problem. So I believe that there is something else happening. I am still under warranty. Are there any approved local shops that I can take this to as part of my warranty? Or do I have to ship it?
