I have an issue with my computer restarting and/or freezing when I play games. It's been happening lately. I've had my computer for over a year and I opted out of the extended warranty. I have all the latest updates and drivers, running Windows 8. I've tried rolling back to Windows 7 and I came across the same issue. I thought that maybe the CPU and Graphics Cards needed a fresh new coat of thermal paste, but to no avail I'm still getting random restarts/freezing when I play games. I've checked the temperatures during gameplay, trying to catch it before it crashes and they generally get to 70-80c.
Anyone have any ideas as to what could be happening? I've ran the PC Check through the latest version of AlienAutopsy and everything is normal according to it.
Will Dell help me with my issue and help replace my cards (if needed)? Obviously I know I will pay, but just wondering if they will help me out even without the warranty? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
